Sukta 2.11
उक्थेष्विन्नु शूर येषु चाकन्त्स्तोमेष्विन्द्र रुद्रियेषु च । तुभ्येदेता यासु मन्दसानः प्र वायवे सिस्रते न शुभ्राः ॥
ukthéṣv ín nu śūra yéṣu cā́kan stómeṣv indra rudriyéṣu ca | túbhyéd etā́ yā́su mandasā́naḥ prá vā́yave sisrate ná śubhrā́ḥ ||
โอ้วีรบุรุษ แท้จริงในบทสรรเสริญอุกถะ (uktha) เหล่านั้น—ซึ่งท่านยินดี—ในบทสโตมะ (stoma) โอ้อินทระ (Indra) และในถ้อยสรรเสริญอันเร้าใจดุจรุทระ (Rudra) นั้นเอง กระแสเหล่านี้ก็ไหลเร่งมาสู่ท่าน; เมื่อท่านปลาบปลื้มเมามัน ท่านผลักดันมันให้พุ่งไปข้างหน้า ดุจสายน้ำขาวสว่าง มุ่งสู่วามยุ (Vāyu, ลมหายใจแห่งชีวิต).
