अश्वावति प्रथमो गोषु गच्छति सुप्रावीरिन्द्र मर्त्यस्तवोतिभिः । तमित्पृणक्षि वसुना भवीयसा सिन्धुमापो यथाभितो विचेतसः ॥
áśvāvatī prathamó góṣu gacchati suprā́vīr índra mártyas tavóti-bhiḥ | tám ít pṛṇakṣi vásunā bhávīyasā síndhum ā́po yáthābhíto ví-cetasaḥ ||
ผู้มั่งมีม้าศึกย่อมก้าวหน้าเป็นคนแรกท่ามกลางฝูงโค (รัศมี); โอ้อินทรา มนุษย์ผู้นั้นเข้มแข็งด้วยความอุปถัมภ์ของท่าน. ท่านยังเติมเต็มเขาด้วยทรัพย์ (vasu) อันยิ่งใหญ่กว่า ดุจสายน้ำที่เคลื่อนไปด้วยปัญญา เติมเต็มแม่น้ำจากทุกด้าน.
