अर्वद्भिरग्ने अर्वतो नृभिर्नॄन्वीरैर्वीरान्वनुयामा त्वोताः । ईशानासः पितृवित्तस्य रायो वि सूरयः शतहिमा नो अश्युः ॥
árvadbhir agne árvato nṛ́bhir nṝ́n vī́rair vīrā́n vanuyāma tvó-tāḥ | īśānā́saḥ pitṛ-vittásya rāyó ví sūrayaḥ śatá-himā no aśyuḥ ||
ด้วยม้าศึกผู้แล่นฉิว ด้วยพลังอันแล่นฉิว; ด้วยหมู่ชน ด้วยฤทธาแห่งวีรชน—โอ อัคนี ภายใต้การคุ้มครองของท่าน ขอให้เราชนะวีรชนด้วยวีรชน. ครั้นเป็นเจ้าแห่งทรัพย์ (rāyá) ที่บรรพชนได้มาแล้ว ขอให้เหล่าสูรยะ (sūrayaḥ) ผู้สว่างไสว เพียรแสวงหาเพื่อเราให้ได้ถึงร้อยเท่า.
