एता ते अग्न उचथानि वेधो जुष्टानि सन्तु मनसे हृदे च । शकेम रायः सुधुरो यमं तेऽधि श्रवो देवभक्तं दधानाः ॥
etā́ te agna ucáthāni vedho júṣṭāni santu mánase hṛdé ca | śakéma rāyáḥ su-dhúro yámam té'dhí śrávo deva-bhaktáṃ dádhānāḥ ||
โอ้อัคนี ผู้รู้แจ้ง (Védhaḥ) ขอถ้อยคำสรรเสริญเหล่านี้ที่เรากล่าวแด่ท่าน จงเป็นที่พอพระทัยแก่จิตและดวงใจของเรา ขอให้เรามีกำลังรับไว้และขับเคลื่อนการอภิบาลอันผูกเทียมดีของท่าน อันนำความอุดมบริบูรณ์; และขอให้เราสถาปนาไว้เหนือเรา ซึ่งศักดิ์ศรีเกียรติยศ (śrávas) ที่เทพประทาน ตั้งมั่นบนส่วนแบ่งแห่งเทพ (devabhakta)
