इन्द्र वाजेषु नोऽव सहस्रप्रधनेषु च । उग्र उग्राभिरूतिभिः ॥

índra vā́jeṣu no ’va sahásrapradhaneṣu ca | ugrá ugrā́bhir ūtíbhiḥ ||

โอ้ อินทระ ในการชิงชัยเพื่อให้ได้มาซึ่งพลังและความอุดม และในศึกที่มีเดิมพันนับพันนั้นด้วย ขอทรงคุ้มครองพวกเรา—โอ้ผู้เกรียงไกร—ด้วยฤทธิ์แห่งความช่วยเหลืออันเกรียงไกรของพระองค์.
