Sukta 2
याव॑ती द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी व॑रि॒म्णा याव॒दापः॑ सिष्य॒दुर्याव॑द॒ग्निः । तत॒स्त्वम॑सि॒ ज्याया॑न् वि॒श्वहा॑ म॒हांस्तस्मै॑ ते काम॒ नम॒ इत् कृ॑णोमि
yā́vatī dyā́vā-pṛthivī́ varímṇā yā́vad ā́paḥ siṣyadúr yā́vad agníḥ | tátas tvám asi jyā́yān viśváhā mahā́ṁs tásmai te kā́ma náma íd kṛṇomi
As vast as Heaven and Earth in their breadth, as far as the Waters flow, as far as Fire (extends)—therefore art thou ever greater, mighty: to thee, O Kāma, homage, even so, I render.
ดุจดังฟ้ากับดินกว้างใหญ่เพียงใด ดุจดังสายน้ำไหลไปไกลเพียงใด ดุจดังไฟแผ่ไปถึงเพียงใด—เพราะฉะนั้นท่านจึงยิ่งใหญ่กว่าเสมอ ทรงเดชานุภาพนัก ด้วยเหตุนั้น กามะเอ๋ย ข้าพเจ้าขอนอบน้อม (นะมะ) แด่ท่าน
