0 मा बि॑भे॒र्न म॑रिष्यसि ज॒रद॑ष्टिं कृणोमि त्वा । निर॑वोचम॒हं यक्ष्म॒मङ्गे॑भ्यो अङ्गज्व॒रं तव॑
mā́ bíbheḥ ná mariṣyasi jaradáṣṭiṃ kṛṇomi tvā́ | nír avocam aháṃ yákṣmam áṅgebhyo ’ṅgajvaráṃ táva ||
Fear not; thou shalt not die: I make thee one whose staff is old age. Forth have I spoken the wasting-disease from thy limbs, thy fever that is in the members.
อย่ากลัวเลย; เจ้าจะไม่ตาย. เราทำให้เจ้าเป็นผู้มี “ชราภาพเป็นไม้เท้า”. เราได้ประกาศขับไล่โรคซูบผอม ยักษฺมะ (yakṣma) ออกจากอวัยวะของเจ้า และไข้ร้อนที่สถิตอยู่ในบรรดาอวัยวะนั้นด้วย.
