pávante vā́ja-sātaye sómāḥ sahásra-pājasaḥ | gṛṇānā́ deva-vī́taye ||

சோமத் தாரைகள் வாஜஸாதயே—வலச் செல்வத்தை வெல்ல—தம்மைத் தூய்மைப்படுத்துகின்றன; ஸஹஸ்ரபாஜஸ் (ஆயிரம் ஆற்றல் உடைய) அவை, க்ருணானா—புகழ்ந்து பாடப்படும்போது—தேவவீதயே ஓடுகின்றன.
