वसिष्ठस्यायं संक्षिप्तः सूक्तः द्यावापृथिव्यौ—द्यां च पृथिवीं च—युगपत् आह्वयति, यौ विस्तीर्णौ दिव्यौ जनितरौ इव ऋतं (विश्वव्यवस्थां) धारयतः। याचते च यत् तौ यज्ञे अग्रस्थानं गृह्णीताम्, दिव्यैः जनैः (सहायकैः शक्तिभिः) सह आगच्छेताम्, उपासकेभ्यः च बहूनि रत्नानि दीर्घकालिकं क्षेमं च प्रयच्छेताम्।

प्र द्यावा यज्ञैः पृथिवी नमोभिः सबाध ईळे बृहती यजत्रे । ते चिद्धि पूर्वे कवयो गृणन्तः पुरो मही दधिरे देवपुत्रे ॥

उतो हि वां द्यावापृथिवी सुदासे पुरूणि रत्नधेयानि सन्ति। अस्मे धत्तं यदसद्, अकृधोयु; यूयं नः सदा स्वस्तिभिः पात।
