सागरप्रतीक्षा-क्रोधप्रादुर्भावः
Rama’s Vigil at the Ocean and the Rise of Wrath
शयनेचोत्तमाङ्गेनसीतायाश्शोभितंपुरा ।
तक्षकस्येवसम्भोगगङ्गाजलनिषेचितम् ॥५॥
śayane cottamāṅgena sītāyāḥ śobhitaṃ purā |
takṣakasyeva sambhogagaṅgājalaniṣecitam ||5||
शयने चोत्तमाङ्गेन सीतायाः शोभितं पुरा । तक्षकस्येव सम्भोगगङ्गाजलनिषेचितम् ॥
(The shoulders) which resembled the coils of Takshaka (in chubbiness) a principal serpent, was graced by Sita while in bed, was bathed by the best of women with waters of Ganga.
The remembrance of lawful marital grace (gṛhastha-dharma) heightens the pain of separation caused by adharma (Rāvaṇa’s abduction), strengthening the moral contrast that drives the war.
