Sukta 1
रोहि॑तो॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी ज॑जान॒ तत्र॒ तन्तुं॑ परमे॒ष्ठी त॑तान । तत्र॑ शिश्रिये॒ऽज एक॑पा॒दोऽदृं॑ह॒द् द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी बले॑न
róhito dyā́vā-pṛthivī́ jajāna tátra tántuṃ parameṣṭhī́ tatāna | tátra śiśriye ’já ékapā́do ’dṛṃhad dyā́vā-pṛthivī́ bálenā ||
Rohita begat Heaven and Earth; therein the Highest Ordainer stretched the thread. Therein the Unborn, one-footed, took his rest; by strength he made Heaven and Earth stand firm.
रोहितो द्यावापृथिवी जजान; तत्र तन्तुं परमेष्ठी ततान। तत्र शिश्रियेऽज एकपादः; अदृंहद् द्यावापृथिवी बलेन॥
