ଏହି ଏକ-ଶ୍ଲୋକୀ ତ୍ରିଷ୍ଟୁଭ୍ ସୂକ୍ତଟି ଏକ ସଂକ୍ଷିପ୍ତ ପୌଷ୍ଟିକ ଆହ୍ୱାନ, ଯେଉଁଥିରେ ଇନ୍ଦ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ବାରମ୍ବାର ତ୍ରାତୃ (ରକ୍ଷକ) ଓ ଅବିତୃ (ସହାୟକ) ଭାବେ ଡାକାଯାଇଛି, ଏବଂ “ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଡାକରେ” (ହାବେ-ହାବେ) ତାଙ୍କୁ ତୁରନ୍ତ ଆହ୍ୱାନ କରିହେବାର ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତିକୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରାଯାଇଛି। ଏହାର ଶକ୍ତି ସଂକେନ୍ଦ୍ରିତ ନାମୋଚ୍ଚାରଣରେ—ଶୂର, ଶକ୍ର, ପୁରୁହୂତ, ମଘବନ—ଏବଂ ଶେଷରେ ସମୁଦାୟ ପାଇଁ ସ୍ୱସ୍ତି (କଲ୍ୟାଣ, ଶୁଭ ସୁରକ୍ଷା) ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିବାକୁ ଇନ୍ଦ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ସିଧା ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରାଯାଇଛି।
