ଏହି ଛଅ-ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀୟ ସୂକ୍ତଟି ସୋମ-ପୀଡନକୁ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର କରିଥିବା ଏକ ଇନ୍ଦ୍ର-ସ୍ତୋତ୍ର। ପୀଡିତ ସୋମରସ ‘ପ୍ରେରିତ/ପଠାଯାଏ’ ବୃଷଭ ଇନ୍ଦ୍ରଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ, ଯାହାଦ୍ୱାରା ସେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଉଲ୍ଲାସ (ମଦ) ପାଆନ୍ତି ଏବଂ ସେଇ ଶକ୍ତିକୁ ଯଜମାନ/ପ୍ରତିପାଳକଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ବିଜୟ ଓ ରକ୍ଷାରେ ପରିଣତ କରନ୍ତି। ଏଠାରେ ଇନ୍ଦ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ଗୋପତି (ଗୋଧନର ପ୍ରଭୁ) ଓ ସତ୍ପତି (ସତ୍ୟ/ଶୁଭ ପ୍ରଭୁ) ଭାବେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଦେଖାଯାଇଛି, ଯାହା ଦିବ୍ୟ ଉଲ୍ଲାସକୁ ସମୃଦ୍ଧି—ବିଶେଷକରି ଗୋଧନ—ଏବଂ ସ୍ଥିର ପ୍ରଭୁତ୍ୱ ସହ ଯୋଡ଼େ। ପୌରାଣିକ ପ୍ରମାଣ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ‘ଗାଈମାନେ’ ବଜ୍ରଧାରୀଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ପୁଷ୍ଟିକର ମିଠା ମିଶ୍ରଣ (ଆଶିରା, ମଧୁ) ‘ଦୁହିଁ ବାହାର କରୁଛନ୍ତି’ ବୋଲି ଚିତ୍ର ଆସେ, ଯାହା ଅର୍ପଣର ଯୋଗ୍ୟତା ଓ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକାରିତାକୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାଟିତ କରେ।
Mantra 1
अ॒भि त्वा॑ वृषभा सु॒ते सु॒तं सृ॑जामि पी॒तये॑ । तृ॒म्पा व्यऽश्नुही॒ मद॑म्
ହେ ବୃଷଭ! ସୋମ-ସୁତି (ନିଚୋଡ଼ା) ସମୟରେ ପାନ ପାଇଁ ମୁଁ ନିଚୋଡ଼ା ପାନୀୟକୁ ତୁମ ପାଖକୁ ପଠାଉଛି। ତୁମେ ତୃପ୍ତ ହେଉ; ଏହି ମଦ (ଉଲ୍ଲାସ)କୁ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଭାବେ ଆସ୍ୱାଦ କର।
Mantra 2
मा त्वा॑ मू॒रा अ॑वि॒ष्यवो॒ मोप॒हस्वा॑न॒ आ द॑भन्। माकीं॑ ब्रह्म॒द्विषो॑ वनः
ମୂଢ, ବିଷ-ମନସ୍କ ଲୋକମାନେ ତୁମକୁ ଆଘାତ ନ କରୁନ୍ତୁ; ଉପହାସକାରୀମାନେ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରି ତୁମକୁ ଠକାଇ ନ ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ। ବ୍ରହ୍ମ-ଦ୍ୱେଷୀମାନେ କୌଣସି ଭାବରେ ତୁମ ଉପରେ ପ୍ରଭୁତ୍ୱ ନ ପାଉନ୍ତୁ।
Mantra 3
इ॒ह त्वा॒ गोप॑रीणसा म॒हे म॑न्दन्तु॒ राध॑से । सरो॑ गौ॒रो यथा॑ पिब
ଏଠାରେ ଗୋପରୀଣସ-ପାନ ତୁମକୁ ମହା ଦାନ ପାଇଁ ଉଲ୍ଲାସିତ କରୁ। ହେ ଗୌର (ତାମ୍ରବର୍ଣ୍ଣ) ବୀର, ସରୋବରରୁ ପିବା ପରି ପିଅ।
Mantra 4
अ॒भि प्र गोप॑तिं गि॒रेन्द्र॑मर्च॒ यथा॑ वि॒दे। सू॒नुं स॒त्यस्य॒ सत्प॑तिम्
ଗୀତରେ ଗୋପତି, ଗିରିନ୍ଦ୍ର ଇନ୍ଦ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ତୁତି କରି ଆଗେ ବଢ଼; ଯେପରି ଆମେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଲାଭ କରିବା—ସତ୍ୟର ପୁତ୍ର, ସତ୍ପତି (ସଦ୍ଅଧିପତି)।

आ हर॑यः ससृज्रि॒रेऽरु॑षी॒रधि॑ ब॒र्हिषि॑ । यत्रा॒भि सं॒नवा॑महे
ଏଠାକୁ ପିତ-ଲାଲ ଛାୟାର ଅଶ୍ୱମାନେ ଦ୍ରୁତେ ଧାଇ ଆସିଛନ୍ତି, ବର୍ହିଷି (ପବିତ୍ର ଘାସ) ଉପରେ; ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ଆମେ ଆମ ଆହ୍ୱାନ-ବାଣୀକୁ ଜୋରେ ଉଦ୍ବୋଧନ କରୁ।

इन्द्रा॑य॒ गाव॑ आ॒शिरं॑ दुदु॒ह्रे व॒ज्रिणे॒ मधु॑ । यत् सी॑मुपह्व॒रे वि॒दत्
ଇନ୍ଦ୍ର ପାଇଁ ଗାଈମାନେ ବଳଦାୟକ ଆଶିର (ମିଶ୍ରଣ) ଦୋହି ବାହାର କରିଲେ—ବଜ୍ରଧାରୀ ପାଇଁ ମଧୁର; ଆହ୍ୱାନରେ ସେମାନେ ଉପହ୍ୱର (ଆହ୍ୱାନ-ସ୍ଥାନ)ରେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଖୋଜି ପାଇଲେ।
It energizes Indra with the pressed Soma so he becomes satisfied and powerful, then turns that power into victory, protection, and prosperity—especially cattle-wealth—for the worshipper/patron.
“Bull” highlights Indra’s overflowing strength, virility, and conquering force—qualities the hymn seeks to awaken through Soma and praise.
Āśira is a strengthening milk-mixture used with offerings, and madhu is sweet potency (often honey/sweetened drink). The verse says cows ‘milked out’ this strengthening sweetness for Indra, validating the offering as divinely appropriate.
