antaḥsthitāneka-surāri saṅkavad vicitravamāyudha-citraśobham || bhīmaṃ balaṃ varmitacāruyodhaṃ viniryayau sindhujalādaśālāt

FAQs

The verse preserves stylized descriptions of arms and formations typical of Sanskrit martial poetics, useful for studying literary representations of warfare.

The setting is broadly 'sindhu-jala' (ocean waters), a cosmographic rather than a pinpoint geographic reference.

It frames military splendor as aesthetically striking yet ominous, preparing the reader for a critique of destructive force within cosmic order.
