देव्युवाच । किमियं व्याकुला देवा गतिर् वा उपलक्ष्यते । कथयध्वं द्रुतं देवाः सर्वथा भयकारणम् ॥

ദേവി പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ദേവന്മാരേ, ഇതെന്ത് വ്യാകുലത? ഏതു ഗതി/സംഭവക്രമമാണ് ദൃശ്യമാകുന്നത്? സർവ്വവിധ ഭയകാരണം വേഗം പറയുവിൻ।
