The Battle of Mahiṣa Daitya and the Gods

इत्येते दश चैकाश्च दैत्येन्द्रा युद्धदुर्मदाः । यथासंख्येन रुद्रांस्तु दुद्रुवुर्भीमविक्रमाः ॥

ity ete daśa caikāś ca daityendrā yuddhadurmadāḥ | yathāsaṃkhyena rudrāṃs tu dudruvur bhīmavikramāḥ ||

ഇങ്ങനെ യുദ്ധമദത്തിൽ ഉന്മത്തരായ ഈ പത്ത് കൂടെ ഒരാളായ ദൈത്യേന്ദ്രർ, ക്രമാനുസരിച്ച്, ഭീകരവിക്രമമുള്ള രുദ്രന്മാരിലേക്കു പാഞ്ഞുകയറി।
