ततो वै सुमहत्तीव्रं तपः परमदुष्चरम् । चरतोऽस्य तत्तीव्रं तपो रैभ्यस्य धीमतः । आजगाम महायोगी विमानस्थोऽतिदीप्तिमान् ॥ ७.३ ॥

അതിനുശേഷം ധീമാനായ റൈഭ്യൻ അത്യന്തം തീവ്രവും ആചരിക്കാൻ പരമ ദുഷ്കരവുമായ തപസ് അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചു. അവൻ ആ തീവ്രതപസ്സിൽ നിരതനായിരിക്കെ, വിമാനസ്ഥനായി അതിദീപ്തിമാനായ ഒരു മഹായോഗി അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു।
