बहुदुःखपरिक्लिष्टा गर्भवासेन पीडिताः ॥ एकहस्ता द्विहस्ता वा कूटाश्च विकृतोदराः
bahuduḥkhaparikliṣṭā garbhavāsena pīḍitāḥ || ekahastā dvihastā vā kūṭāś ca vikṛtodarāḥ
അനവധി ദുഃഖങ്ങളാൽ ക്ലേശിതരായി, ഗർഭവാസത്തിന്റെ പീഡയാൽ വേദനിച്ചു, അവർ ഒരുകൈയോ രണ്ടുകൈയോ (അംഗവൈകല്യത്തോടെ) ജനിക്കുകയും, കൂടാതെ കൂനുള്ളവരായും വികൃത ഉദരമുള്ളവരായും ജനിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു।
