अकृत्वा यो नवन्नानि मम कर्मपरायणः ॥ ततो भागवतो भूत्वा नवन्नं यो न कारयेत् ॥

akṛtvā yo navannāni mama karmaparāyaṇaḥ || tato bhāgavato bhūtvā navannaṃ yo na kārayet ||

എന്റെ കര്‍മങ്ങളില്‍ പരായണനായിട്ടും ‘നവന്ന’ ഒരുക്കാത്തവന്‍—പിന്നീട് ഭാഗവതന്‍ (ഭക്തന്‍) ആയിട്ടും നവന്നവിധി നടത്താത്തവന്‍ ദോഷത്തിന് പാത്രനാകുന്നു.
