A Sūtra-like Manual of Expiations for Ritual Transgressions
यः पारक्येण वस्त्रेण न धूतेन च माधवि ॥ प्रायश्चित्ती भवेनमूर्खो मम कर्मपरायणः ॥
yaḥ pārakyena vastreṇa na dhūtena ca mādhavi | prāyaścittī bhaven mūrkho mama karmaparāyaṇaḥ ||
ഹേ മാധവി, മറ്റൊരാളുടെ വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചും കഴുകാത്ത വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചും എന്റെ കർമ്മങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ, എന്റെ കർമ്മങ്ങളിൽ പരായണനായിരുന്നാലും മൂഢനായി പ്രായശ്ചിത്തത്തിന് അർഹനാകുന്നു।
