इच्छया अपि भवेद्भद्रे स्वर्गे वसति सुन्दरि ॥ स्वल्पकेन न गम्यन्ते दुष्प्राप्योऽहं वरानने ॥
icchayā api bhaved bhadre svarge vasati sundari || svalpakena na gamyante duṣprāpyo 'haṁ varānane ||
ഹേ ഭദ്രേ, ഹേ സുന്ദരീ! വെറും ആഗ്രഹത്താലും സ്വർഗ്ഗവാസം ലഭിക്കാം; എന്നാൽ ഹേ വരാനനേ, ചെറുതായ മാർഗ്ഗങ്ങളാൽ എന്നെ പ്രാപിക്കാനാവില്ല—ഞാൻ ദുർലഭൻ.
