patitaiḥ sa hi vijñeyaś cāṇḍāla-sadṛśo 'dhamaḥ || tasmān na pratigṛhṇīyāc chrūdrād vipraḥ pratigraham ||
അവനെ പതിതനെന്നു അറിയണം—അധമൻ, ചാണ്ഡാലനോടു സമാനൻ. അതിനാൽ വിപ്രൻ ശൂദ്രനിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രതിഗ്രഹം (ദാനം സ്വീകരിക്കൽ) ചെയ്യരുത്.
