अथ धान्यधेनुदानमाहात्म्यम् ॥ होतोवाच ॥ शृणु राजन्प्रवक्ष्यामि धान्यधेनुमनुत्तमाम् ॥ यस्याः सङ्कीर्तनादेव सा तुष्येत् पार्वती स्वयम्
atha dhānyadhenudānamāhātmyam || hotovāca || śṛṇu rājan pravakṣyāmi dhānyadhenuṃ anuttamām || yasyāḥ saṅkīrtanād eva sā tuṣyet pārvatī svayam
ഇപ്പോൾ ധാന്യധേനുദാനത്തിന്റെ മഹാത്മ്യം. ഹോതൃ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ രാജാവേ, കേൾക്കുക; ഞാൻ അനുത്തമമായ ധാന്യധേനുവിനെ വിവരിക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ സംകീർത്തനം മാത്രം കൊണ്ടും പാർവതി സ്വയം പ്രസന്നയാകുന്നു.
