Transliteration

āmā́su pakvám airaya ā́ sū́ryaṃ rohayo diví | gharmáṃ ná sā́man tapata suvṛ́ktibhir júṣṭaṃ gírvāṇase bṛhát ||

Translation

അസംസ്കൃത അവസ്ഥകളിൽ നിന്നു നീ പക്വമായ ശക്തിയെ ഉയർത്തുന്നു; ദ്യൗവിൽ സൂര്യനെ നീ आरोഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ഘർമം സാമസ്തുതിയായി ജ്വലിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, ഗിർവണസ (സ്തുതിപ്രിയ) പ്രഭുവിന്നായി നമ്മുടെ സുസംസ്കൃത സൂക്തികളാൽ പ്രീതിപ്രാപിച്ച മഹത് ഋതം (സത്യക്രമം) നീ പ്രജ്വലിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
