अपाधमदभिशस्तीरशस्तिहाथेन्द्रो द्युम्न्याभवत् । देवास्त इन्द्र सख्याय येमिरे बृहद्भानो मरुद्गण ॥
ápā dhamad abhíśastīr aśastihā́théndro dyumnyā́bhavat | devā́sta indra sakhyā́ya yemire bṛhád-bhāno marúd-gaṇa ||
അവൻ ശത്രുവിന്റെ ആക്രമണങ്ങളെ ഊതിക്കളഞ്ഞു, അശസ്തി (അപ്രകടമായ അന്ധകാരം)യുടെ സംഹാരകൻ; അപ്പോൾ ഇന്ദ്രൻ ദ്യുമ്നം—പ്രകാശമയ മഹിമ—കൊണ്ട് നിറഞ്ഞു. ഹേ ഇന്ദ്ര, ദേവന്മാർ നിന്റെ സഖ്യതയ്ക്കായി ചേർന്നു—ഹേ വിശാലപ്രഭയുള്ളവനേ, മരുദ്ഗണത്തോടൊപ്പം.
