अग्निर्जाता देवानामग्निर्वेद मर्तानामपीच्यम् । अग्निः स द्रविणोदा अग्निर्द्वारा व्यूर्णुते स्वाहुतो नवीयसा नभन्तामन्यके समे ॥
agnír jātā́ devā́nām agnír véda mártānām apī́cyam | agníḥ sá draviṇodā́ agnír dvā́rā ví ūrṇute svā́huto navī́yasā nabhantām anyaké samé ||
അഗ്നി ദേവന്മാരിൽ ജനിച്ചവൻ; മർത്ത്യരിൽ ഒളിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതിനെ അഗ്നി അറിയുന്നു. അഗ്നി ദ്രവിണോദാതാവ്, സമൃദ്ധിയുടെ ദാതാവ്; അഗ്നി വാതിലുകൾ വിശാലമായി തുറക്കുന്നു—സ്വാഹുതിയാൽ, എപ്പോഴും പുതുപുത്തൻ ശക്തിയോടെ; വൈരശക്തികൾ മറ്റിടത്തേക്ക് ഓടിപ്പോകട്ടെ.
