Sukta 8.11
प्रत्नो हि कमीड्यो अध्वरेषु सनाच्च होता नव्यश्च सत्सि । स्वां चाग्ने तन्वं पिप्रयस्वास्मभ्यं च सौभगमा यजस्व ॥
pratnó hí kam ī́ḍyo adhvaréṣu sanā́c ca hótā návyaś ca sátsi | svā́ṃ cā́gne tanvàm pipráyasvāsmábhyaṃ ca saúbhagam ā́ yajasva ||
ഹേ അഗ്നേ, നീ സത്യമായും പ്രാചീനൻ; യാഗകർമ്മങ്ങളിൽ സദാ ആവാഹ്യൻ. സനാതനമായി ഹോതാവായി നീ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അതുപോലെ നിത്യ-നവീനനുമാണ്. ഹേ അഗ്നേ, നിന്റെ സ്വന്തം തനുവിനെ (ദേഹധാരിയായ ശക്തിയെ) പോഷിപ്പിച്ച് പൂർണ്ണമാക്കുക; യജനത്തിലൂടെ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് പ്രകാശമയ സൗഭാഗ്യത്തിന്റെ സുഖം താഴെയിറക്കുക।
