Transliteration

vacovídaṃ vā́cam udīráyantīṃ víśvābhir dhībhír upatíṣṭhamānām | devī́ṃ devébhyaḥ páry eyúṣīṃ gā́m ā́ mā́vṛkta mártyo dabhra-cetāḥ ||

Translation

വചനത്തെ അറിയുന്ന ആ ഗോവ്, വാണിയെ ഉയർത്തി ഉച്ചരിക്കുന്നവൾ, സർവ്വ ധീകളാൽ (ബുദ്ധി-പ്രേരണകളാൽ) സമീപം നിലകൊള്ളുന്നവൾ—ദേവി, ദേവന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നവൾ; അല്പചേതനനായ മർത്ത്യൻ അവളെ ഹാനിക്കരുത്, അവളെ ഞങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് അകറ്റിത്തിരിയിക്കരുത്.
