इन्द्राग्नी अपादियं पूर्वागात्पद्वतीभ्यः । हित्वी शिरो जिह्वया वावदच्चरत्त्रिंशत्पदा न्यक्रमीत् ॥

indrā́gnī apā́d iyáṃ pū́rvāgāt padvátībhyaḥ | hitvī́ śíro jihváyā vā́vadac cárat triṃśát padā́ ní akramīt ||

ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാഗ്നീ, ഈ പുരാതന ശക്തി പാദമുള്ളവരിൽ നിന്നു പാദരഹിതമായി പുറപ്പെട്ടു. ശിരസ് ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് ജിഹ്വയാൽ അത് സംസാരിച്ചു; നടന്നു സഞ്ചരിച്ചു, മുപ്പത് പാദചുവടുകളിൽ താഴേക്ക് ഇറങ്ങി—ഇങ്ങനെ ഗൂഢബലം പരിധിയുടെ സ്ഥിരനിയമത്തെ ഭേദിക്കുന്നു.
