Sukta 6.17
पिबा सोममभि यमुग्र तर्द ऊर्वं गव्यं महि गृणान इन्द्र । वि यो धृष्णो वधिषो वज्रहस्त विश्वा वृत्रममित्रिया शवोभिः ॥
píbā sómam abhí yám ugra tárda ūŕvaṃ gávyam máhi gṛṇāná indra | ví yó dhṛ́ṣṇo vádhiṣo vajra-hasta víśvā vṛtrám amitriyā́ śávo-bhiḥ ||
ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, സോമം പാനം ചെയ്ക; അതിനോടൊപ്പം, ഹേ ഉഗ്രനേ, പ്രകാശകിരണങ്ങളുടെ മഹത്തായ ഗവ്യ ഊർവം (ഗോവാടം/ബന്ധനം) പൊട്ടിച്ചു തുറക്കുക. ഞങ്ങളുടെ സ്തുതിയാൽ പ്രശംസിതനായി, ഹേ വജ്രഹസ്താ, ധൃഷ്ണു വധിഷ് (ധീരസംഹാരക), നീ നിന്റെ മഹാശവങ്ങളാൽ എല്ലാ വൃത്രത്തെയും ശത്രുബലങ്ങളെയും തകർത്തുകളയുന്നു.
