अभि प्रवन्त समनेव योषाः कल्याण्यः स्मयमानासो अग्निम् । घृतस्य धाराः समिधो नसन्त ता जुषाणो हर्यति जातवेदाः ॥

abhí pravanta sámanā-iva yóṣāḥ kalyā́ṇyaḥ smáyamānāso agním | ghṛtásya dhā́rāḥ samídho nasanta tā́ juṣāṇó haryati jā́ta-vedāḥ ||

പൊതുസമ്മേളനത്തിലേക്ക് പോകുന്ന സ്ത്രീകളെപ്പോലെ, കല്യാണകരികളായി പുഞ്ചിരിയോടെ വരുന്ന (ധാരകൾ) അഗ്നിയിലേക്കു ഒഴുകുന്നു. ഘൃതത്തിന്റെ ധാരകൾ സമിധകളായി സമീപിക്കുന്നു; അവയിൽ ആസ്വദിക്കുന്ന ജാതവേദാ ആനന്ദതേജസ്സോടെ മേലോട്ടു ചാടുന്നു.
