Sukta 4.58
समुद्रादूर्मिर्मधुमाँ उदारदुपांशुना सममृतत्वमानट् । घृतस्य नाम गुह्यं यदस्ति जिह्वा देवानाममृतस्य नाभिः ॥
samudrā́d ū́rmir mádhu-mā̃ údārad upā́ṃśunā́ sám amṛta-tváṃ ānaṭ | ghṛtásya nā́ma gúhyaṃ yád ásti jihvā́ devā́nām amṛtásya nā́bhiḥ ||
സമുദ്രത്തിൽ നിന്നു മധുരതരംഗം ഉയരുന്നു; ഉപാംശു (സൂക്ഷ്മ) പീഡനത്തിലൂടെ അത് അമൃതത്വത്തെ പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു. ഘൃതത്തിന്റെ ഗുഹ്യനാമം ഇതുതന്നെ—ഇതേ ദേവന്മാരുടെ ജിഹ്വ, അമൃതത്തിന്റെ നാഭികേന്ദ്രം.
