Sukta 10.80
अग्निः सप्तिं वाजम्भरं ददात्यग्निर्वीरं श्रुत्यं कर्मनिष्ठाम् । अग्नी रोदसी वि चरत्समञ्जन्नग्निर्नारीं वीरकुक्षिं पुरंधिम् ॥
agníḥ saptíṁ vājaṁ-bharáṁ dadāty agnír vīráṁ śrútyaṁ kármaniṣṭhām | agnī́ rodasī́ ví carat sam-añján agnír nā́rīṁ vīrá-kukṣiṁ púraṁdhim ||
അഗ്നി ബലസമൃദ്ധി വഹിക്കുന്ന രഥസംഘം (സപ്തി) നല്കുന്നു; അഗ്നി ശ്രുതിയിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധനും കര്മ്മത്തിൽ അചഞ്ചലനുമായ വീരനെയും നല്കുന്നു. അഗ്നി ദ്യാവാപൃഥിവി എന്ന രണ്ടു ലോകങ്ങളിലും സഞ്ചരിച്ചു അവയെ സംയോജിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; അഗ്നി വീരകുശി—വീരന്മാരെ ഗർഭിക്കുന്ന—പുരന്ധി, സമൃദ്ധി നല്കുന്ന സ്ത്രീയെയും നല്കുന്നു.
