svàrjitaṁ máhi mandānáṁ ándhaso havāmahe pári śakráṁ sutā́m̐ úpa | imáṁ no yajñám ihá bodhyā́ gáhi spṛ́dho jáyantaṁ maghávānam īmahe ||

Translation

അന്ധസ (സോമരസം)യിൽ ഉല്ലസിക്കുന്ന മഹാൻ, സ്വർജിത്—സ്വർഗ്ഗം ജയിച്ച—ശക്രനെ ഞങ്ങൾ ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു; പിഷിത സുത പാനങ്ങളിലേക്കു ബലവാനെ വിളിക്കുന്നു. ഇവിടെ നമ്മുടെ യജ്ഞത്തെ ജാഗ്രതയോടെ അറിഞ്ഞു വരിക; എതിര്‍ബലങ്ങളെ ജയിക്കുന്ന ദാനശീലൻ ഇന്ദ്രൻ—മഘവാൻ—നെ ഞങ്ങൾ തേടുന്നു.
