Sukta 10.165
देवाः कपोत इषितो यदिच्छन्दूतो निॠत्या इदमाजगाम । तस्मा अर्चाम कृणवाम निष्कृतिं शं नो अस्तु द्विपदे शं चतुष्पदे ॥
devā́ḥ kapotá iṣitó yád icchán dūtó nírṛtyā́ idám ā́jagāma | tásmai arcāma kṛṇávāma níṣkṛtiṃ śáṃ no astu dvípade śáṃ catúṣpade ||
ഹേ ദേവന്മാരേ, പ്രേരിതനായി അന്വേഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് വന്ന കപോതം (പ്രാവ്) നിർഋതി (വിഘടനവും ദുര്ഭാഗ്യവും ഉള്ള ശക്തി)യുടെ ദൂതനായി ഇവിടെ വന്നിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ, ആ (അന്ധകാരമയ) അയച്ചതിനായി ഞങ്ങൾ സ്തുതി അർപ്പിച്ചു വിമോചനകർമ്മം നടത്തുന്നു. ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ദ്വിപദങ്ങളിൽ ശാന്തി ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ; ചതുഷ്പദങ്ങളിലും ശാന്തി ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.
