अग्ने तव श्रवो वयो महि भ्राजन्ते अर्चयो विभावसो । बृहद्भानो शवसा वाजमुक्थ्यं दधासि दाशुषे कवे ॥

agné táva śrávo váyo máhi bhrājante arcáyo vibhāvaso | bṛhád-bhāno śávāsā vā́jam ukthyàm dádhāsi dāśúṣe kave ||

അഗ്നേ, നിന്റെ ശ്രവഃ (കീർത്തി)യും വയഃ (പോഷക സമൃദ്ധി)യും മഹത്താണ്; ഹേ വിഭാവസു (സർവ്വപ്രകാശകൻ), നിന്റെ ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന അർച്ചയഃ കിരണങ്ങൾ ദീപ്തമായി തെളിയുന്നു. ഹേ ബൃഹദ്ഭാനു (വിശാലതേജസ്സുള്ളവനേ), നീ നിന്റെ ശവസ് (ബലം)കൊണ്ട് ദാശുഷേ (ദാനകൻ) കവിറ്‌ക്ക് ഉക്ഥ്യ വാജ (സ്തുതിക്ക് യോഗ്യമായ വിജയശക്തി/സമൃദ്ധി) നല്കി സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നു.
