प्र ये शुम्भन्ते जनयो न सप्तयो यामन्रुद्रस्य सूनवः सुदंससः । रोदसी हि मरुतश्चक्रिरे वृधे मदन्ति वीरा विदथेषु घृष्वयः ॥
prá yé śúmbhante jánayo ná saptáyo yā́man rudrásya sū́navaḥ sudáṃsasaḥ | ródasī hí marútaś cakriré vṛdhé mádanti vīrā́ vidáthēṣu ghṛ́ṣvayaḥ ||
സ്വയം അലങ്കരിച്ച് ദീപ്തരാകുന്നവർ—കാന്തിയുള്ള സ്ത്രീകളെപ്പോലെ, വേഗമേറിയ കുതിരകളെപ്പോലെ—രുദ്രന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ സുദംസസ മരുത്തർ മുന്നോട്ട് നീങ്ങുന്നു. വർദ്ധനയ്ക്കായി അവർ ‘രോദസീ’ എന്ന രണ്ടു ലോകങ്ങളെ രൂപപ്പെടുത്തി; ദീപ്തമായ ഉഗ്രതയുള്ള വീരർ വിധഥങ്ങളിൽ ആഹ്ലാദിക്കുന്നു.
