होतारं सप्त जुह्वो यजिष्ठं यं वाघतो वृणते अध्वरेषु । अग्निं विश्वेषामरतिं वसूनां सपर्यामि प्रयसा यामि रत्नम् ॥
hótāraṃ saptá juhvò yájiṣṭhaṃ yáṃ vāgháto vṛṇáte adhvaréṣu | agníṃ víśveṣām aratíṃ vasū́nāṃ saparyā́mi práyasā yā́mi rátnaṃ ||
ഏഴ് ജുഹൂകളോടുകൂടിയ ഹോതൃ—യജ്ഞത്തിന് ഏറ്റവും യോജ്യൻ, അധ്വരങ്ങളിൽ പരിശ്രമികൾ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നവൻ—അത്തരം അഗ്നിയെ, എല്ലാ വസുക്കളുടെയും അച്യുത വാഹകനെയെ, ഞാൻ അർപ്പണത്തോടെ സേവിക്കുന്നു; രത്നസമമായ നിധിക്കായി ഞാൻ അവന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്ക് പോകുന്നു.
