आ हि ष्मा सूनवे पितापिर्यजत्यापये । सखा सख्ये वरेण्यः ॥

ā́ hí ṣmā sūnáve pitā́ ā́piḥ yájatī ā́paye | sakhā́ sákhye váreṇyaḥ ||

അതെ, നിശ്ചയമായി—പിതാവ് പുത്രന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുന്നതുപോലെ; യജ്ഞം ചെയ്യുന്നവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ആപ്തസഹായി വരുന്നതുപോലെ—അങ്ങനെ വരണീയ സഖാവ് (അഗ്നി) സഖ്യതയിൽ ഞങ്ങളിലേക്കു വരിക; മനുഷ്യനും ദൈവവും തമ്മിലുള്ള ബന്ധം ദൃഢമാക്കുക.
