Bharata Enters the Forest Toward Chitrakuta
niviṣṭamātre sainye tu yathoddeśaṃ vinītavat |
bharato bhrātaraṃ vākyaṃ śatrughnam idam abravīt ||2||
After the army encamped in the assigned places, Bharata said to his brother Satrughna thus:
Dharma here is expressed as disciplined conduct and responsible leadership—Bharata ensures order in the army before speaking or acting further.
Bharata’s forces have reached the forest region near Chitrakūṭa; after arranging the camp properly, he turns to instruct Śatrughna.
Bharata’s self-control and administrative propriety (vinaya/discipline) are emphasized.
