नैवाहमनुशोचामि लक्ष्मणो न च मैथिली।अयोध्यायाश्च्युताश्चेति वने वत्स्यामहेति च।।2.52.28।।
naivāham anuśocāmi lakṣmaṇo na ca maithilī | ayodhyāyāś cyutāś ceti vane vatsyāmaheti ca || 2.52.28 ||
അയോധ്യയിൽ നിന്ന് നീക്കപ്പെട്ടതുകൊണ്ടോ, വനത്തിൽ വസിക്കേണ്ടിവരുമെന്ന ചിന്തകൊണ്ടോ ഞാൻ ശോകിക്കുന്നില്ല; ലക്ഷ്മണനും അല്ല, മൈഥിലിയും അല്ല.
