तमसातीरवासः · Night on the Bank of the Tamasa and the Stratagem to Elude the Citizens
पश्य शून्यान्यरण्यानि रुदन्तीव समन्ततः।यथानिलयमायद्भिर्निलीनानि मृगद्विजैः।।2.46.3।।
paśya śūnyāny araṇyāni rudantīva samantataḥ |
yathā-nilayam āyadbhir nilīnāni mṛga-dvijaiḥ ||2.46.3||
നോക്കുക—ചുറ്റുമെങ്ങും ഈ വനങ്ങൾ ശൂന്യമായി, കരയുന്നതുപോലെ തോന്നുന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ വാസസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിയ മൃഗങ്ങളും പക്ഷികളും ഒളിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.
