पतिसंयोगसुलभं वयो दृष्ट्वा तु मे पिता।चिन्तामभ्यगमद्धीनो वित्तनाशादिवाधनः।।2.118.34।।

എന്നാൽ വിവാഹയോഗ്യമായ എന്റെ പ്രായം കണ്ടപ്പോൾ എന്റെ പിതാവ് ദീനനായി ആശങ്കയിൽ മുങ്ങി; ധനം നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട ദരിദ്രൻ നിരാശനാകുന്നതുപോലെ.
