Sukta 64
पापमोचनम्। इ॒दं यत् कृ॒ष्णः श॒कुनि॑रभिनि॒ष्पत॒न्नपी॑पतत्। आपो॑ मा॒ तस्मा॒त् सर्व॑स्माद् दुरि॒तात् पा॒न्त्वंह॑सः
idáṃ yát kṛṣṇáḥ śakúnir abhiniṣpátann ápīpatat | ā́po mā́ tásmāt sárvasmād duritā́t pā́ntv áṃhasaḥ ||
This—when the black bird of omen, flying forth toward me, hath lighted down—may the Waters guard me from that, from every evil hap, from anguish and from sin.
പാപമോചനം. ഇത്—കറുത്ത അപശകുനപ്പക്ഷി എന്റെ നേരെ പറന്ന് വന്ന് ഇറങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ—ആ ജലങ്ങൾ (ആപഃ) എന്നെ അതിൽ നിന്ന്, എല്ലാ ദുരിതത്തിൽ നിന്ന്, വ്യഥയിൽ നിന്ന്, പാപത്തിൽ നിന്ന് കാത്തുരക്ഷിക്കട്ടെ.
