उद् व॒यं तम॑स॒स्परि॒ रोह॑न्तो॒ नाक॑मुत्त॒मम्। दे॒वं दे॑व॒त्रा सूर्य॒मग॑न्म॒ ज्योति॑रुत्त॒मम्

IAST Transliteration

úd vayáṃ támasas pári róhanto nā́kam uttamám | deváṃ devatrā́ sū́ryam ágann jyótiḥ uttamám ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Up have we climbed, beyond the darkness, unto the highest heaven. God-ward we have attained the god, the Sun—the highest Light.

Translation

ഞങ്ങൾ തമസ്സിനെ അതിക്രമിച്ച് ഉയർന്ന്, പരമോന്നത സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ദേവമാർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ ദേവനായ സൂര്യനെ പ്രാപിച്ചു—അവൻ പരമോത്തമ ജ്യോതി.
