यास्ते॑ शो॒चयो॒ रंह॑यो जातवेदो॒ याभि॑रापृ॒णासि॒ दिव॑म॒न्तरि॑क्षम्। अ॒जं यन्त॒मनु॒ ताः समृ॑ण्वता॒मथेत॑राभिः शि॒वत॑माभिः शृ॒तं कृ॑धि

yā́ste śocáyo ráṃhayo jātavedo yā́bhir āpṛṇā́si dívaṃ antárikṣam | ajáṃ yántam ánu tā́ḥ samṛ́ṇvatām áthetarā́bhiḥ śivátamābhiḥ śrutáṃ kṛdhi

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

What flames are thine, what swift impellings, O Jātavedas, wherewith thou fillest heaven and the mid-air—let these attend the Unborn as he goeth, and make his way well-ordered; then, with thy other powers, the most auspicious, make thou the boon well-won and duly heard.

Translation

ഹേ ജാതവേദസ് (അഗ്നി), നിന്റെ ഏതു ജ്വാലകളോ, നിന്റെ ഏതു വേഗപ്രേരണകളോ—അവകൊണ്ട് നീ ദ്യൗവും അന്തരിക്ഷവും നിറയ്ക്കുന്നുവോ—അവ അജ (അജന്മ/അജ) പോകുമ്പോൾ അവനെ അനുഗമിക്കട്ടെ, അവന്റെ വഴി ക്രമബദ്ധമാക്കട്ടെ. പിന്നെ നിന്റെ മറ്റു, അതിശിവ, മംഗളകരമായ ശക്തികളാൽ—ഈ വരം (ദാനം) നന്നായി ലഭിച്ചതും യഥാവിധി ശ്രുത/സ്വീകൃതമായതുമായിരിക്കുമാറാക്കുക.
