आप॑स्पुत्रासो अ॒भि सं वि॑शध्वमि॒मं जी॒वं जी॑वधन्याः स॒मेत्य॑ । तासां॑ भजध्वम॒मृतं॒ यमा॒हुर्यमो॑द॒नं पच॑ति वां॒ जनि॑त्री
ā́paḥ putrā́so abhí sáṁ víśadhvam imáṁ jīváṁ jī́vadhanyāḥ samétya | tāsā́ṁ bhajadhvam amṛ́taṁ yám ā́hur yám-odanáṁ pácati vā́ṁ janitrī́ ||
Ye Sons of Waters, gather ye and enter round about this living man, O ye for whom life is treasure, assembling. Partake ye of that deathless thing which men call Yama’s mess—Yama’s oblation-porridge—which your Mother, the Begetter, cooketh for you twain.
ഹേ ആപഃപുത്രന്മാരേ (ജലത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരേ), ഒന്നിച്ചു കൂടുവിൻ; ഈ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന പുരുഷനെ ചുറ്റി എല്ലാടത്തുനിന്നും പ്രവേശിക്കുവിൻ—ജീവനെ ധനമായി കരുതുന്നവരേ—സമാഗമിച്ച്. മനുഷ്യർ ‘യമന്റെ ഓദനം’ (യമ-ഭോജനം) എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്ന അമൃതമായതിൽ പങ്കുചേരുവിൻ; ആ യമന്റെ അർപ്പണ-ഓദനം നിങ്ങളുടെ ജനിത്രീ മാതാവ് (ജനിപ്പിക്കുന്നവൾ) നിങ്ങൾ ഇരുവർക്കുമായി പാകം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
