त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे सुगन्धिं पुष्टिवर्धनम् । उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान्मृत्योर्मुक्षीय मामृतात् ॥
tryámbakaṃ yajāmahe sugándhiṃ puṣṭivárdhanam | urvārukám iva bándhanān mṛtyór mukṣīya mā́mṛtāt ||
We offer in adoration to the Three-Eyed, fragrant in being, increaser of plenitude. As a ripe gourd is loosed from its stalk, may I be released from the bond of death—yet not from immortality.
