तुभ्यं हिन्वानो वसिष्ट गा अपोऽधुक्षन्त्सीमविभिरद्रिभिर्नरः । पिबेन्द्र स्वाहा प्रहुतं वषट्कृतं होत्रादा सोमं प्रथमो य ईशिषे ॥

Transliteration

túbhyaṃ hinvānáḥ vasiṣṭa gā́ apo ’dhúkṣant sīm aví-bhir ádri-bhir nárāḥ | píbéndra svā́hā prá-hutaṃ váṣaṭ-kṛtaṃ hotrā́d ā́ sómaṃ prathamó yá ī́śiṣe ||

Translation

For thee, O Indra, the inspired movements urge on; the luminous Rays (cows) and the Waters are milked out for thee by the powers of the ascent, by the pressing-stones, by the striving men. Drink, O Indra, the Soma offered with svāhā, poured forth and sealed by vaṣaṭ; from the Hotṛ’s word take the Soma—thou who first hast mastery and initiatory command.
