Sukta 2.24
ऋतावानः प्रतिचक्ष्यानृता पुनरात आ तस्थुः कवयो महस्पथः । ते बाहुभ्यां धमितमग्निमश्मनि नकिः षो अस्त्यरणो जहुर्हि तम् ॥
ṛtā́vānaḥ prati-cákṣyānṛ́tā púner ā́ta ā́ tasthuḥ kaváyo mahás páthaḥ | té bāhúbhyāṃ dhamitám agním áśmani nákiḥ ṣó asty áraṇo jahúr hí tám ||
ຜູ້ຄອງຄອງຄວາມຈິງທີ່ສັກສິດ, ເມື່ອມອງຫຼັງໄປຍັງຄວາມບໍ່ຈິງ, ໄດ້ຍືນຢູ່ອີກເທື່ອໜຶ່ງເທິງເສັ້ນທາງອັນກວ້າງໃຫຍ່; ພວກພຣະອົງໄດ້ຈຸດໄຟທີ່ຖືກຂັບດ້ວຍແຂນຂອງພວກພຣະອົງໃນຫີນ, ບໍ່ມີຜູ້ໃດມາຂັດຂວາງ, ເພາະວ່າພວກພຣະອົງໄດ້ຂັບໄລ່ມັນອອກໄປຢ່າງແທ້ຈິງ.
